E-mail is fast and an easy way to stay in touch with family, friends, business contacts, and others. It is possible to send a message that appears to be from anyone, anywhere, saying whatever the sender wants it to say. For example, spoofed e-mail may claim to be from someone in a position of authority, asking for sensitive data, such as passwords, credit card numbers, or other personal information — any of which can be used for a variety of criminal purposes. One type of e-mail spoofing, self-sending spam, involves messages that appear to be both to and from the recipient. One more thing they can even turn your computers and email servers into weapons of spam propagation themselves. It goes without saying that email has become part of the landscape of our communication methods, Because it costs nothing to send email… hackers and bad elements in the internet are also using this tool to spread spams and other malicious attacks like wildfire. Keep your business or your enterprise safe always, watch out for them so you can hit the “Delete” button whenever they arrive. Always check for salutation in any email message that claims to be from your bank, an online company or other place with which you do business. Check for spelling and grammar or misspellings and errors or odd language use in the email, Do not click links in suspicious emails because you may go to a site that tries to download malicious software onto your computer. Recognize the red flag, check email with certain urgency and avoid them. report spam emails to proper authority. Keep your email safe and take extra precautions when using the net. Be suspicious of odd email requests from friends, especially if you know they are not traveling.
