The social networking site Twitter agrees to stops a number of tweets under a pair of French hash tags “#unbonjuif,” translated in English to mean “#agoodjew.” the social network receives a Lawsuit from Jewish group network for running afoul of national laws against hate speech, the organization said. It was October 10, when the Anti-Semitic tweets in French has started, the tweets includes photos evoking the Holocaust and slurs and the pile containing an emaciated Holocaust victim. The action arrived a day after Twitter bowed to German law and blocked an account of a banned neo-Nazi group there.
Twitter said that their company’s policies require the international users to comply with local laws regarding online conduct and acceptable content. They also ban any content with direct threats of violence. Any content which in violation of their policies will be investigated and respond according to the policies and procedures outlined in their support pages.

With hundreds of millions of Tweets posted every day around the world, our goal is to respect our users’ expression, while also taking into consideration applicable local laws,” says Twitter regarding the policy via its Help Center.
The French Union of Jewish Students will give Twitter a list of offensive tweets to be block and will file a formal complaint against the network, the union will arrange a conference call Thursday night with Twitter Management in California.
